Espace, surface, intimité, identité, communauté, notions qui peuvent ętre comprises comme des „mutations“ plus générales et surtout plus ouvertes des genres photographiques classiques présentant un paysage, une nature morte, un nu et un portrait, et enfin un document classique. Les quatre thčmes mentionnés et leur classification en genres déterminent le plan de l´exposition - la succession et l´enchaînement des objets exposés. Bien qu‘il semble que l´exposition ne sorte pas des sentiers battus, elle pose plus clairement les limites de la photographie grâce ŕ de „petites cases“ correspondant ŕ des notions plus générales qui sont plus en accord avec les sujets et les tendances formelles de la photographie actuelle. L’exposition compte une centaine de clichés de 18 auteurs, agencée en un cercle imaginaire de l´espace (paysage) Avis: on trouve beaucoup de profs dans les jeunes...un peu d´aération ferait du bien mais heureusement on a au moins évité les dinosaures institutionnels: femmes nues des années 50 pour l´un...tsiganes de l´autre...comme pour Marseille Capitale Culturelle 2013! The 18th International Festival of Photography, November 2008 Bratislava, Slovakia presents: THE INTERNATIONAL PORTFOLIO REVIEW 2008 The 10th International Meeting of Photographers Academy of Music and Performing Art - VŠMU, Svoradova 2 November 7-8, 2008 Portfolio Review is one of the festival's most important and popular program for fledgling and professional photographers. The two days of Portfolio Review presents an unforgettable opportunity for artists using photography to have their work seen by some of the most important personalities in the field of photography. The Bratislava Month of Photography brings photography professionals, magazine editors, museum curators, gallery owners, representatives of photography agencies, collectors and publishers from all around the world to meet with photographers, review their work and find new names for their networks. This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Portfolio Review. We have changed the place of event to make a better possibility of communication amongst the participants. La FIAP, federation Internationale de l Art Photographique est presente en Slovaquie fin aout et septembre pour sa Biennale... Une expo internationale va circuler dans le pays, principalement dans la capitale Bratislava, au Ministere de la Culture, mais aussi dans les villes de Ruzomberok et Zilina... Un premier pas agreable pour se preparer au Mois de la Photographie de novembre...initie par Jean-Luc Monterrosso, Directeur de la Maison Europeenne de la Photographie a Paris.

International Symposium PHOTOGRAPHIC HERITAGE IN CENTRAL, EASTERN, AND SOUTHERN EUROPE: PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURECo-organized by the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI) in Los Angeles, the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (AFAD) in Bratislava, and the Slovak National Library (SNL) in Martin, November 5-8, 2007 at the SUZA Conference Center in Bratislava, Slovak Republic About the SymposiumPart One of the Symposium will be dedicated to invited lectures discussing the world history of photograph conservation, education in photograph conservation, and important issues related to the preservation of the photographic heritage in countries located in central, eastern, and southern Europe.
Názov: Slovenské vyslanectvo u panovníka Part Two of the Symposium will feature invited presentations given by representatives of each participating country, focusing on that country’s history of photography, its notable photographic collections, and any current or past projects relating to the preservation of its photographic heritage. Countries included to date are Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic and Slovenia. Part Three of the Symposium will be dedicated to a roundtable discussion which will provide an opportunity for a dynamic exchange of ideas to benefit the further development of the photograph conservation, research, and education in the region.

The GCI and AFAD hope that this Symposium will serve as the catalyst for an international collaboration to establish the education and training programs necessary to preserve the rich photograph heritage in all participating countries.
